- ENGLISH7 WEEK 1 Teaching date: 05/9/2023 Period 1 INTRODUCTION SUBJECT A. AIMS OF THE LESSON: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: I. Knowledge and skills - Get to know the teacher the book “Tieng Anh 7 I learn smart world”. - Know how to learn this subject effectively. II. Competences - develop ability to self- study and problem- solving. III. Attributes - have positive attitude in English language learning. - build their love for class and school. B. TEACHING AIDS - Teacher’s aids: student book and teacher’s book, class CDs, projector or TV - Students’ aids: Student books, notebooks, workbooks. C. PROCEDURE I. Warm-up: Listening to an English song - Ask Ss to listen to a song on youtube: Chatting: - Introduce himself/ herself then ask Ss some normal questions. II. Presentation: Activity 1. Introduce to text books. - T introduces the new book “Tieng Anh 7 I learn smart world”. + Sách Tiếng Anh 7 i-Learn Smart World là sách dành cho học sinh lớp 7 THCS, kế tiếp chương trình sách Tiếng Anh 6 I learn Smart World do NXB Đại học Sư phạm Tp.HCM kết hợp cùng Tập đoàn Giáo dục Đại Trường Phát biên soạn theo Chương trình giáo dục phổ thông (ban hành theo Thông tư số 32/2018/TT-BGDĐT ngày 26 tháng 12 năm 2018), nhằm giúp học sinh bậc THCS đạt được mục tiêu chung về năng lực tiếng Anh: A2 bậc 2 cũng như Khung tham chiếu trình độ ngôn ngữ chung Châu Âu CEFR (A2). 1. ƯU ĐIỂM: - Bám sát khung chương trình của Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo. - Nội dung được biên soạn và thiết kế phù hợp với học sinh Việt Nam, lấy yếu tố văn hóa Việt Nam làm nền tảng xây dựng. - Trọn bộ là sự liên thông 12 cấp độ với i-Learn Smart Start dành cho học sinh Tiểu học (cấp 1) và i-Learn Smart World dành cho học sinh Trung học (cấp 2-3). - Giúp phát triển tư duy, kỹ năng phản biện và đồng thời các kỹ năng Nghe – Nói – Đọc – Viết. - Làm quen với các dạng bài thi quốc tế thông qua các bài tập. - Có các tài liệu đi kèm bổ trợ phong phú, tài nguyên tải về miễn phí từ Internet. 2. NỘI DUNG SÁCH: - Sách bao gồm 10 chủ đề: 1. Free time 2. Health 3. Music and Arts 4. Community services 5. Food and drinks 6. Education 7. Transportation

Activity 2: Introduce to learning methods. - Teacher introduces to learning methods. - Mỗi tuần có 3 tiết tiếng anh, cả năm có 105 tiết học cho 2 học kỳ 1 và 2. + Mỗi học kỳ có các em sẽ có một số bài kiểm tra thường xuyên, 1 bài kiểm tra giữa kỳ và 1 bài kiểm tra cuối kỳ (Trước mỗi bài kiểm tra giữa kỳ và cuối kỳ chúng ta có các tiết ôn tập để giúp các em có kết quả tốt trong quá trình làm bài), bài kiểm tra giữa kỳ và cuối kỳ sẽ kiểm tra các kiến thức về ngữ pháp, các kỹ năng: đọc, nghe, viết, còn kỷ năng nói sẽ được thầy/ cô bố trí xen lẫn trong các bài kiểm tra thường xuyên. - Nhằm phát huy tối đa chất lượng dạy học các em cần: + Cài đặt phần mềm “EDU HOME” vào máy tính cá nhân (nếu có) hoặc điên thoai di động. + Vào phần mềm và “nhập mât mã kích hoạt” (Các em lấy mật mã kích hoạt bằng cách cào lớp bạc có ở trang đầu tiên của mỗi cuốn sách) + Trong phần mền này sẽ có tất cả các tài nguyên cần thiết để hỗ trợ quá trình học tập của các em. - Trong quá trình học các em phải hoàn thành các yêu cầu của thầy cô giao về nhà đồng thời nghiên cứu kỹ bài học tiếp theo. - Ss listen and take note. IV. HOMEWORK - Prepare the first lesson. Unit 1: Free time – Lesson 1. New words + Reading (P6) ========================================== Period 2 UNIT 1: FREE TIME Lesson 1: New words + reading A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge and skills - talk about their hobbies, using vocabularies: build models, bake cakes, make vlogs, read comics, play online games, collect soccer stickers. - practice reading and understanding general and specific information about a teen’s hobby. - use the Present Simple for talking about habits. 2. Competence: - improve communication, collaboration, analytical and critical thinking skills. 3. Attributes: - take up a useful hobby and spend a suitable amount of time on this hobby. - build good habits for themselves and ditch bad ones. B. TEACHING AIDS: Student book and Teacher’s book, class CDs, Digital Book (DCR phần mềm tương tác SB, DHA, phần mềm trò chơi tương tác), TV screen, PowerPoint slides. C. PROCEDURES * Warm up: Chatting. - Ask Ss some questions about their free time activities: Eg: - What do you often do in your free time? - How much time do you spend doing it? - Is [playing volleyball] helpful? Why?
- - - Lead to the new lesson: Free time. I. Pre - reading 1. Activity 1: Number the pictures. - demonstrate the activity, using the example (using DCR). - have Ss number the pictures. (individuals) - divide class into pairs and have them check their answers with their partners. - call Ss to give answers (read or write). - check answers as a whole class. - play audio (CD1 – Track 02) or (using DCR). Have Ss listen and repeat. - correct Ss’ pronunciation. Answer keys A1 B4 C6 D2 E3 F5 2. Activity 2: Matching. - have Ss review the vocabularies they have known in the warm-up activity by matching words with pictures (T uses different pictures from those in the textbook/ or T can take real photos). - call Ss to give answers (read or write). - check answers as a whole class. - call some Ss to read the words again. - correct Ss’ pronunciation if necessary. Answer keys 3. Activity 3: Chatting (sharing hobbies) - Have Ss talk in pairs about their hobbies using the new words and three other hobbies they know. - Remind Ss to use the structure:
- Do you like +V-ing ? - Have Ss share their ideas in front of the class. - Give feedback and evaluation. II . While - reading Activity 1: Read Kate’s blog post and choose the best title. - Ask Ss to read two options and find out key words. - Show the task using DCR. Have Ss read the blog individually. - Have Ss work in pairs to read the blog again. - Have Ss circle the correct answers. - Have some Ss share their answers with the class (read), explain for their answers. - Give feedback. - Give feedback and correct Ss’ answers if necessary. Answer keys 1.My Model Collection Activity 2: Multiple choice reading - Have students look at the picture in part Reading a (using DCR) and ask them some questions about Kate: What is her name? What is her hobby? What is the title of the blog? - Retell students what a blog is Lead to the reading text. - Have Ss read the questions and guess the answers. - Have Ss read the blog and circle the correct answers – underline the supporting ideas. - Have Ss check answers with their partners. - Call Ss to give answers, explain. - Give feedback and evaluation. Post - reading Group work activity: What cool things can you make? - Have students work in groups to talk about what cool things they can make. -If there is enough time, ask Students to choose a cool thing to draw it (each group draws a picture). -Have students hang the pictures on the board, ask the whole class to vote for the best picture. -Make comments and announce the best picture. * Homework: - Learn by heart the new vocabularies. - Practice talking about your hobby. - Do exercises in Workbook: Lesson 1 - New words (page 2). - Prepare: Lesson 1 – Grammar (page 5 – SB) - Do exercises in the Notebook Unit 1 Lesson 1 (page 4)

AIMS OF THE LESSON I. Knowledge By the end of this lesson, students will be able to : - Listen and read for specific information about Nick's, Phuc's and Mi's visit to Bat Trang traditional craft village. - Know more about traditional craft villages and places of interest in our country. - Do some exercises with the lexical items related to traditional craft village. II. Ability : - Students can improve their listening and reading skills. - Students can develop the ability to cooperate with their partners, to self-study and to solve problems. - Positive about local environment. - Students know how to learn English in right way. III. Quality : - Raise motivations and interests in learning English as a foreign language - Develop communicative and team-working skills through learning activities - Co-operation. - Self- study. - Ss are interested in and proud of the traditional crafts B. TEACHING AIDS - Teacher’s aids: student book and teacher’s book, class CDs, projector or TV - Students’ aids: Student books, notebooks, workbooks. C. PROCEDURE I. Warm-up: Greetings. Watching video.
- - Give Ss to watch a video about traditional handicrafts in Viet Nam at the address - After watching, ask them which topic the video mentions. - T: In video clip, the reader mention some traditional handicraft such as pottery, stone carving, embroidery etc. paintings Brainstorming. drums silk lanterns... - Asks Ss which other traditional they know. - Ss list – T writes. conical hat Traditional II. Presentation: handicrafts Activity 1: Vocabulary. - Use explaination to introduce vocalbulary: - Handicraft (n) = a thing which is skilfully made with your hand. - Artisans (n) = people who do skilled work, making things with their hands. - Attraction (n) = an interesting or enjoyable place to go or thing to do. - Specific region (n) = a particular place. - Set up (v) = start something. - Take over (v) = take control of something. - Remind (v) = make someone remember or think about something. - Have students listen and repeat each new word. (chorally – individually) - Correct student’s pronunciation if necessary. Activity 2: Set the scene. - Ask Ss some questions to lead in the conversation. How many people ? Where are they? What are they talking about? III. Practice: Activity 3: Listening. - Asks Ss listen the conversation. Reading. - Work in groups of three. - Let Ss read the conversation. - Call out some good pairs reading the conversation in front of class. Activity 4: Answer the questions. (Ex.1.b) - Groups work. + Ss disscus to answer the questions. Game : Lucky number. - Divide class into 2 groups to play this game. + Questions and answer. 1. How old is the village? - about 700 years old. 2. Why is the village a place of interest in Hanoi? - Because people can buy things for their house and make pottery themselves there. 3. Where are Nick, Mi, and Phong? - at Phong's grandparents' workshop in Bat Trang. 4. LN 5. Who started Phong’s family workshop? - His great-grandparents. 6. Where is the craft village that Mi visited?
