- WEEK 9 LỚP 1 Teaching date: 12/11/2021 Period 8 UNIT 4: MY BODY Lesson 1(A,B,C,D,E) I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: identify body parts and follow simple instructions. 2. Competences - Problems solving and creation: take of themselves, keep their body clean and healthy - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence 3. Quality - Love their body - Stay healthy - Responsible with their life 4. Skills: Listening and speaking skills II. Teaching aids: Teacher’s aids: student book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, IWB software, projector/interactive whiteboard/TV. Students’ aids: Student books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Languages focus: Vocabulary: head, leg, arm Structure : • Touch your (head). IV. Procedures: Warm-up Option 1: Slap - Split the class into four teams. - Place pictures of flowers on the board.
- - Have four students come to the board to face off. - Call out the sentence (e.g.” It’s a red flower.”) and have students run to the board then slap the picture and repeat the sentence. The winner is the student who slaps the picture at first. A- Listen and point. Repeat. CD1- Track 50 - Use flashcards to introduce the new words: head, leg, arm - Have students listen to each new word. - Have students listen to each new word and repeat all together and individually. Correct student’s pronunciation if it’s necessary. - Arrange the flashcards on the board. Play audio and have students listen and point to the pictures in their books. - Play audio again and have students listen, repeat several times. - Change the order of the flashcards, point to them individually and have students say the words, correct pronunciation when needed. - Have students work in pairs, one of them points to the picture in the book and the other says the word. - Have students point to parts of body and say the words aloud. Optional activities: Option 1: Do as I say - Teacher says a word about parts of body and touch his/ her part of body. (E.g. Teacher says “head” and touches his/ her head (or leg/ arm). - Have students listen carefully and touch their parts of body (Their movement must match teacher’s word. E.g. Students touch their heads when they hear “head”.). B- Listen and point. CD1- Track 51 - Introduce the situation. E. g. Teacher says, “ Touch your head.” and touch his / her head. Have students listen, say and do the same. - Play audio and have students look at the picture. - Demonstrate the activity by pointing to the new vocabulary items. - Play audio. Have students listen and point. - Have students work in pairs. One says the command and one acts out. Swap the roles and continue. C- Sing. CD1- Track 52 - Have students turn to page 68. - Read the lyrics as a whole class. - Play audio and have students listen. - Play audio again and have students listen, sing along and act out. D- Say and do.
- - Introduce the situation: “The children are playing a game. Look! The boy is touching his head. ..” - Give students more examples by touching his/ her parts of body when he/ she says. Ask some students to make examples. E- Play “ Simon says” - Have students look at the example. - Tell students they must only follow commands that start with "Simon says " - Demonstrate the game by giving the students different commands. If the command starts with "Simon says," students must do the action. If it doesn't start with "Simon says," students who do the action must sit down. - Have one student come to the front of the class to be "Simon." - Swap roles and repeat with a new "Simon." Wrap-up Shooting game - Divide the class into 2 teams. - Invite one student from each team to come on the board. - Give each student a flashcard. - Have the 2 students stand back-to-back. - Have them step forward 3 steps then turn around, showing their flashcards to each other. - The first student to say out the correct word on his/ her friend’s flashcard will get one point for their team. - Continue with other students. The team has more points is the winner LỚP 2 Teaching date: 8/11/2021 UNIT 4: ANIMALS Period 22: Lesson 1: A- E A.OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge: By the end of this period, students will be able to: -Identify and use the following vocabulary items and structures to ask and answer about animals. 2. Competences: - Problems solving and creation

Skills: Listening and speaking skills 5. Vocabulary: Duck, goat, pig, cow 6. Grammar point: What is that? It's a (duck) . B. TEACHING AIDS 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, chalk, board, ruler, projector/TV, laptop and flashcards, balls 2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, noterbooks C. PROCEDURES *Warm-up: (5’) “Ball Circle” game - Divide the class into groups of 5-10. Each group sits in a circle. Give each group a ball. - One child asks, “Where are you from?” and throws the ball to another child who answers. This child then asks, “Where are you from?” and throws the ball to another child. - Continue until every child has had a turn. *New lesson - Introduce the new lesson by showing the pictures (duck, goat, pig,cow)on the projector. - Teacher tells the class the objects of the lesson. I. Presentation 1.Teach vocabulary:(6’)
- - Use some flashcards to introduce the new words ( duck, goat, pig, cow). - Have students listen to each new word. - Show the pictures of the part A on the projector and ask students to open the books. - Play audio, and point to each flashcard for students to listen - Play audio again and have students point to the pictures in their books. - Play audio again and have students listen and repeat. - Have students work in pairs, one of them points to the picture in the book and the other says the words. - Call some pairs to the board and check. - Organize for students to play the game "Heads up. What's missing?" game - Divide the class into two teams. - Arrange the flashcards on the board and remove one card when students are not looking. - One student from each team calls out the missing flashcard. 2. Introduce sentence pattern: (6’) - Pre- listening:Have students look at the picture, identify it and call out the things they can see. Ask some questions about the picture.Who is this? Where are they? -While- listening:Play audio and have students listen and point. -Post- listening: Have students work in groups of three. One is Sue, one is Bill and one listens to their friends then point. II. Practice *Activity 1.Word drill: (6’) Tell the class that they are going to ask and answer questions about animals. - Using What is that? It’s .(words of animals). - Show the flashcards about the word of animals and have them repeat - Put flashcards on the board -Students make questions and answer chorally - Get students to work in pairs. Go around to offer help and correct the pronunciation if necessary.
- - Check as a class *Activity 2:(5’) CD2 – Track 70) - Have students turn to page 28. - Play audio and have students listen. - Read the lyrics and do actions following them. - Play audio and have students listen, sing along, and do the actions. - Divide the class into pairs, one student sings the command and the other does the action. D. Point , ask and answer Tell the class that they are going topoint, ask and answer questions about animals..using What is that? It’s .(words of animals). *Activity 1 -Divide the class into two teams. - Show a flashcard to the class. - Have Team A ask the questions and Team B answer. - Swap roles and repeat. E.g. (Teacher shows a flashcard (bird".) * Team A: "What is that?" * Team B: "It's a bird." *Activity 2 - Divide the class into pairs. - Have Student A point to a picture and ask, have Student B answer. - Swap roles and repeat. -Afterwards, have some pairs demonstrate the activity in front of the class. Knowledge: - Ask and answer questions about what story/book someone is reading. - Sentence Patterns: What are you reading? – I’m reading ____. - Vocabulary: The Fox and the Crow, The Story of Mai An Tiem, Aladdin and the Magic Lamp, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 2. Skills. - Develop listening reading and speaking skill. 3. Attitude/ Quality: - Have concentration, listen carefully, express idea during lesson - Confident in communicating with classmates - To help Ss loving English.
