  1. LỚP 1 WEEK 7 Date of teaching:29/10/2021 Period 6 UNIT 3 : COLORS Lesson 1(A,B,C,D,E) I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson students can name the basic colors. 1. Knowledge Languages focus: Vocabulary: blue, yellow, red, Structure : It’s blue 2. Language skills - Talk about the color of things. 3. Core competencies & Personal qualities - Building up interests and good habits in learning English. - Building up responsive and independent-working characteristics to be a life-long learner. - Presenting communicative skills through learning activities in classrooms. - Being collaborative and supportive in teamwork. II. Teaching aids Teacher’s aids: student book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, IWB software, projector/interactive whiteboard/TV. Students’ aids: Student book, notebooks, workbook. III. Procedures: Warm-up (5’) Option 1: Guessing game Students work in groups.
  2. - Show a half of a picture of a school thing. - Students work in groups to try to guess what object in the picture is. - The students who gives a correct guessing will get one point. New lesson A- Listen and point. Repeat. CD1- Track 38 - Use flashcards, crayons or colored pencils to introduce the new words: red, yellow, blue - Have students listen to each new word. - Have students listen to each new word and repeat all together and individually. Correct student’s pronunciation if it’s necessary. - Arrange the flashcards on the board. Play audio and have students listen and point to the pictures in their books. - Play audio again and have students listen, repeat several times. - Change the order of the flashcards, point to them individually and have students say the words, correct pronunciation when needed. - Have students work in pairs, one of them points to the picture in the book and the other says the word. - Have students hold up their crayons/ colored pencil that is red, yellow or blue and say that color. B- Listen and point. CD1- Track 39 - Have students look at the picture, identify details (if they can) and colors in the picture. - Introduce the situation. - Play audio and have students look at the picture. - Demonstrate the activity by pointing to the new vocabulary items. - Play audio. Have students listen and point. - Have students work in pairs, one point to the color and one say it out loud. C- Sing. CD1- Track 40 D- Point and say. - Have students look at the pictures and identify the things. Ask them to tell the colors. - Divide the class into pairs. - Have Student A point to the pictures and Student B say, e.g. "It's red." Swap roles and repeat. - Afterwards, have some pairs demonstrate the activity in front of the class.

E- Play “ Find the color” - Have students work in groups of four. - Have students look at the example. - Have students take turns coming to the front of the class and give some examples. - Have the other students try to find objects that are the same color and say the sentence. Objectives: After completing this lesson, students will be able to gain the following: 1. Knowledge: Ask and answer about the number of objectives using the structure “How many (circles) are there?” Vocabulary: sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty Structures: There are (sixteen) (triangles). 2. Ability: - Students can improve skills : Listening and Speaking. - Students can develop the ability to communicate and cooperate with their partners, to self-study. - Students can use number eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen to ask and answer. 3. Talk about the number of objects using the structure “There are (sixteen) (triangles).” II. Procedures: Lesson 1(A,B) I. Pre-teach vocabulary  Review numbers from 1 to ten.  Introduce numbers from 11 to 15. Arrange the flashcards on the board, play audio, and point to each flashcard.  Play audio again and have students point to the numbers in their books.  Play audio again and have students listen and repeat.  Have students work in pairs, one points to the numbers and one says the words. Swap roles. WHILE – LISTENING Listen and point. (CD1 – Track 42)  Have students look at the picture and identify the details of it.  Introduce the situation. Bill and Sue are asking about the number of shapes.  Play audio and have students look at the picture.  Demonstrate the activity by pointing to the new vocabulary items.  Play audio. Have students listen and point.  Divide the class into two groups, one reads the question and one reads the answer. Have students work in pairs, point to the pictures, practice asking and answering the questions. POST LISTENING Sing. (CD1 – Track 43)  Have students turn to page 70.  Play audio and have students listen.  Read the lyrics and do actions following them.

(CD1 – Track 49)  Have students call out the shapes they can see.  Have students listen and follow.  Play audio and demonstrate pointing.  Play audio. Have students listen and point.  Have students work in pairs, one says the sentences and one points to the correct pictures. Swap roles. 2. Listen and repeat. (CD1 - Track 50)  Have students look at the useful language box.  Play audio. Have students listen to the useful language. Have students practice the useful language. C. Knowledge: - Pupils can give and respond to classroom instructions. - Sentence Patterns: Stand up! - Vocabulary: come here, don’t talk, open your book, close your book, sorry 2. Skills. - Listening and speaking. 3. Attitude/ Quality: - Ss confident in communicate with their friends. - Ss love English, friends and teacher. - Ss should ask for T’s permission in class. 4. Forming competence: - Ss using language to ask and answer questions about friends. - Active participate in groups, ready to help their friends. II. Methods: - Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... III. Preparation.

Task 1: Look, listen and repeat. - Tell ss they are going to practice giving and responding to the classroom instructions. - Have pupils look at the pictures on page 40. - Ask pupils to identify the character in the pictures. - Present the situation. - Explain what the characters say and the meaning of the new vocabulary - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Call on 2 pairs to perform at the front of the class. - Have whole class repeat each line of the dialogue in chorus. Task 2: Point, say and do the actions. - Tell ss that they are going to practice giving and acting out classroom instructions. - Point each instruction and check comprehension. - Recall the new words. - Demonstrate the actions. - Have ss act out each instructions a few times. - Get ss to work in pairs, take turn to say and act out the instruction. - Monitor the activity. Task 3: Let’s talk - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends.

Task 3: Let’s talk - Have Ss look at the pictures on page 42. - Tell ss that they are going to practice more with their friends. - Point to the first picture and ask Ss to guess what they say. - Ask Ss fill the speech bubbles. - Have Ss repeat the sentences in the bubbles. - Ask ss to work in pairs. - Monitor the activity. - Call a few pairs to the front of the class to act out the dialogue. Task 4: Walk and talk. - Ask Ss walk around the class to ask and give permission. - Monitor the activity. - Summary the lesson - Tell pupils to read the part 1 again. - Do exercises in workbook, learn by heart the new words and the pattern.

Methods: - Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... Look, listen and repeat - Tell pupils that they are going to learn to ask and answer questions about where their school is. - Have them look at the four pictures to discuss the content in which the language is used. Ask them questions such as - Play the recording a few times for pupils to listen. - Play the recording again for them to listen and repeat (sometimes) Task 2. Point and say - Tell pupils that they are going to practice asking and answering questions about where a school is, using Where’s your school? It’s in + (place) - Have them look at the bubbles and the pictures to understand how the language is used in different contexts. - Point to the first picture and say the word Oxford Street. - Tell them to practice asking and answering the question in pairs, using the prompts in the bubbles and the words under the picture. Check as a class and correct pronunciation, if necessary. - Tell pupils that they are going to ask/ answer the name and location of their own school C. I’m in Class In the next two bubbles, pupils ask and answer questions about what class someone is in, using What class is she/he in? She’s/He’s in Class Ask pupil to look at the pictures and say the classes 4A, 5B, 3C and 2D. Check comprehension. - Ask pupils to work in pairs, pointing to the characters speaking. Then call a few pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class. - Go around and help them if necessary. - Correct Task 3. Let's talk - Tell pupils that they are going to revise what they have learnt in Lessons 1 and 2, using facts about themselves. - Ask them to work in pairs and ask and answer questions What’s the name of your school? (10 minutes) - Tell the class that they are going to read a story. - Have them look at the pictures and guess what the story is about by pointing at each picture to elicit their answers to these questions: What’s his/her name? Who is he/she talking with? What are they talking about? - Check their comprehension by pointing at each picture and eliciting their answers to these questions: Who are they? What are they talking about? What foreign language does Hoa study at school? Does she like English? - Play the recording and ask pupils to look at their book and listen to the tape - Play it again for them to repeat line by line.

Tell them to make their own timetables before practicing. - Invite a few pairs to act out their conversations in front of the class. - Give feedback.
