  1. WEEK 6 LỚP 1 Teaching date:22/2/2021 Period 5: UNIT 2: SCHOOL Lesson 2: 1,2,4 I. Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to gain the following 1. Knowledge Languages focus: Vocabulary: cap,door, Phonic : /c/ and /d/ Structure : This is my cap 2. Language skills - Recognize and make the /c/, /d/ sound. - Ask and answer about the school things. 3. Core competencies & Personal qualities - Building up interests and good habits in learning English. - Building up responsive and independent-working characteristics to be a life-long learner. - Presenting communicative skills through learning activities in classrooms. - Being collaborative and supportive in teamwork. II. Teaching aids Teacher’s aids: student book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, IWB software, projector/interactive whiteboard/TV. Students’ aids: Student book, notebooks, workbook. III. Procedures: Warm-up (5’) - Option 1: Sing. Play audio Part C and have students sing the song.
  2. New lesson The alphabet (5’) 1. Play the alphabet song and have students listen. 2. Play audio again and sing the song. 3. Put the flashcards on the board for the letters in red (c and d). 4. Point to each flashcard, call out the letter's name, and have students repeat. Letter C 1- Listen and repeat. Trace. (10’) Listen and repeat: 1. Have students look at the letter. 2. Play audio. Have students listen and repeat all together and individually. Correct student’s pronunciation if necessary. 3. Have some students demonstrate the activity in front of the class. Trace: 1. Have students call out the letter sound. 2. Demonstrate the steps of tracing the letters with your finger. 3. Have students trace the letters with their fingers. 4. Have some students demonstrate the activity in front of the class. 2- Listen and repeat. (5’) Listen and repeat: 1. Have students look at the picture, letter and word. 2. Play audio. Have students listen and point to the letter and word as they hear. 3. Have students listen and repeat all together and individually. Correct student’s pronunciation if necessary. 4. Have some students demonstrate the activity in front of the class. 4- Listen and hop. 1. Demonstrate the activity. 2. Have students stand up. 3. Have students hop when they hear the 'c' sound. 4. Have some students demonstrate the activity in front of the class. Wrap Play the game “Unscramble”. • Divide the class into small groups and give each group a mini-board. • Show the unscramble words and ask the groups to write the correct answers on the mini-boards. E.g. okbo -> book. The group with more correct words in shorter time will be the winner. Homelink: Practise singing and doing the actions at home

Knowledge By the end of this period, pupils will be able to: -Recognize the sound of letters – “Pp” and /Q/ 2. Competencies: - Problems solving and creation - Communication and cooperation - Self-learning, independent working and pair work, group work - Linguistic competence. 3. Quality - Humane - Hardworking - Responsible - Honest 4. Skills: Listening skills and Speaking skills 5. Vocabulary:pen, penguin. 1. Teacher’s aids: Teacher’s book, chalk, board, ruler, projector/TV, laptop, flashcards (A to P, pen, penguin) 2. Students’ aids: Students’ books, workbooks, pencil case. C. PROCEDURES Warm-up (4’) Sing the alphabet song. - Play the alphabet song and have students listen ( - Play audio again and have students sing the song. - Put the flashcards on the board for the letters in red (A to P). - Point to each flashcard, call out the letter's name, and have students repeat. - Introduce letter P for new lesson. I. Presentation: (6’) - Show the picture of letter P and readaloud letter P to students (2-3 time) - Have students listen and repeat a few time.
  4. - Show the pictures of the part E on the projector to introduce the letter o and the sounds - /Q/ in words. - Have students listen and repeat a few times. Teach vocabulary - Show pictures to introduce the new words (pen, penguin). - Have students listen and repeat to each new word. - Have some students read the new words in front of the class. II. Practice:(15’) Task 1:Listen and repeat. Trace. (CD1 - Track 31) - Use some real thing and pictures to introduce the letter p and the words. - Have students listen to each new word. - Have students listen to each new word and repeat all together and individually. Correct student’s pronunciation if necessary. - Play audio. Have students listen and repeat. - Demonstrate tracing the letters with your finger. - Have students trace the letters with their fingers, then have them work in pairs and trace the letter for their friends say it. - Have some students demonstrate the activity in front of the class. Task 2. Listen and repeat. Trace. (CD1 - Track 35) -Use some pictures to introduce the letter q and the words. -Have students listen to each new word. -Have students listen to each new word and repeat all together and individually. - Correct student’s pronunciation if necessary. -Play audio. Have students listen and repeat. -Demonstrate tracing the letters with your finger. -Have students trace the letters with their fingers, then have them work in pairs and trace the letter for their friends say it. -Have some students demonstrate the activity in front of the class. Task 2: Listen and repeat. Write. (CD1 - track 32) - Have students look at the pictures. - Demonstrate the activity. - Play audio. Have students point to the letter as they hear it. - Play audio again. (CD1 – Track 33) -Play audio and have students listen. - Have students look at the lyrics. - Read the lyrics and do actions following them. - Play audio and have students listen, sing along, and do the actions. - Have students make a new verse with the word "penguin" and sing along the same melody as the first one. Task 4: Listen and clap. (CD1 - track 34) - Demonstrate the activity. - Have students stand up. - Have students clap when they hear the letter sound. Patty Cake -Divide the class into pairs. -Have children sit facing each other. Children slap their knees once, clap their hands once, and then clap their partner’s hands once as they both say /p/ /p/ pen, -Continue doing the action for the remain word. IV. Nice to meet you. - Vocabulary: Peter, Tony, Mary, Hoa, this is, nice to meet you 2. Skills: - Develop Ss listening and speaking 3. Attitude/ Quality: - Ss confident in communicate with their friends. - Ss love English, friends and teacher. 4. Forming competence: - Ss using language to introduce one's friend and respond to the introduction.

Methods: - Communicative approach, group Ss and T's activities, play as a character, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by visual, teaching methods by practising, discussion group, technical present.... Forming competence: - Ss using knowledge to do exercises. - Be self-conscious complete the exercises. II. Preparation. 1. Teacher’s preparation: CDs player, stereo, book. 2. Student’s preparation: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures. Warmer - Ask Ss to sing the song on page 31. - Give comments. Task 1: Look, listen and repeat. - Have Ss open their books page 32. - Ask Ss the name of the characters and what they say. - Use 2 puppets to present the situation. - Play the tape. - Play the tape again. - Ask ss work in pairs to practice the dialogues. - Monitor the activity. Preparation. 1. Teacher’s preparation: CDs player, stereo, book. 2. Student’s preparation: Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. III. Procedures.
