  2. CD2- Track 60 - Have students look at the pictures, call out the objects they can see, and count them. - Play audio and demonstrate the activity using the example. - Play audio. Optional activity 1:Conversation line - Have students make two lines and stand face to face. - Each student uses a picture of an object or objects to ask his/ her friend. E.g. S1: ‘How many ( balls)?’ S2: (Six) ( balls). Activity 3. B- Play the “ Board race” game.  Have students look at the example.  Divide the class into teams and have one student from each team stand a distance from the board.  Write two letters on the board and then say a word beginning with one of their sounds.  Have the students race to the board, touch that letter, and say the correct sound.  The first student to touch the letter and say the sound gets a point for their team.  Continue with other students. Warmer: "Touch" game - Divide the class into four teams. - Have one student from each team stand a distance from the board. - Stick some flashcards on the board. - Then the teacher says a letter or a word. (E.g. Please touch letter “P” three times!) - Have the students race to the board, touch that flashcard, and say the correct word. - The first student to touch the flashcard and say the word gets a point for their team. Continue with other students. I. Pre-listening 1. Listen and repeat. (CD2 - Track 63) - Have students look at the pictures at page 67 - Have students identify the pictures and letters. - Point to the pictures and have students say the letters' sounds. - Play audio. (CD2 - Track 64) Tell Students that they are going to listen and point to the correct letter - Have students look at the pictures. - Demonstrate pointing to the correct letter when you hear the sound or word. Walk round the class and support them if needed. Activity 2: Listen and draw lines. (CD3 Track 68) - Have the students focus on the Listening task. - Play the audio and ask them to listen and draw lines. - Invite some students to give their answers. - Check the answers with the whole class using DCR. Activity 3: Look and read. Write “Yes” or “No”. - Demonstrate the activity using the example. - Have the students look at the pictures, read each statement, and write “Yes” if the statement is true, or “No” if the statement is false. - Check the answers as a whole class using DCR. - Afterwards, have some students give a new true statement for each of the false statements.
