1. REVISION CLASS: 7 A. OBJECTIVES : I. Knowledge: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to : - Know how to use present simple tense correctly. - Use present simple to talk about things that happen regularly. - Write simple sentences about habits. - Use present simple to talk about free time activities. II. Competences: - Students can improve the use of English. - Students can develop their listening, writing and speaking skill, creativity, cooperation, self- studying and problem solving. III. Attributes : - Students have positive attitude in English language learning to participate in all classroom activities with the topic “ free time ”. - Take up a useful hobby and spend a suitable amount of time on this hobby. - Build good habits for themselves and kick bad ones. B. TEACHING AIDS - Teacher’s aids: student book and teacher’s book, class CDs, projector. - Students’ aids: Student books, notebooks, workbooks. C. PROCEDURE I. Warm up : Questions and answers 1.What’s your name? 2. How old are you? 3.Where are you from? 4. How many poeple in your family? 5. Whats do you do in your free time? II. Presentation. *Dialogue build. - T reads and students repeat. - T gives out model sentences and ask Ss to indicate which tense is being used, then have Ss retell form of the Present Simple. Ba Nam What do you do in your free time ? I play soccer in my free time.

Am / Is / Are + S + Normal verb: (+) S + V s/es (-) S + don’t / doesn’t + V bare infinitive (?)Do / Does + S + V bare infinitive Usage: to talk about habits or things that happen regularly. III. Practice. 1. Gap fill : Task b. Fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verbs. - Demonstrate the activity, using the example. - Have Ss fill in the blanks with the correct form of the verbs. - Have Ss work in pairs to check each other’s work. - Have some Ss share their answers with the whole class. - Give feedback, correct Ss’ answers if necessary. 1. Option 1 : Interview - T gives ss the handouts and ask them to go around the class and ask their friends what they do in their free time. - Ss take note - T models Example : S1: What do you do in your free time ? S2: I watch TV. S1 : What don’t you do in your free time ? S2: No, I don’t play sports. T asks ss to use the information from their interview to talk about their friends’free time activities Example :
3. In free time, Lan watches TV, . 2. Option 2: Speaking (Chain game) - One student makes a sentence about his free time activity. - Another student says the sentence again (change the subject pronoun) together with a sentence about his activity. - The third student does the same way (say the 2 sentences above again, add one more about his activity). - Student who can’t make the chain loses the game. - The winner will get 1 point for him / her. Example : A : I watch TV in my free time. B : A watches TV and I listen to music in our free time. C : A watches TV, B listens to music and I read books in our free time. Ex 1: 1.
